Objectives: 2.5.1. Students will use technology to locate, evaluate, and collect information
from a variety of sources. 2.5.2. Students will use technology tools to process data and report results.
Materials: computers, handouts to put the research on, powerpoint
Description
the students will each pick a dinosaur to learn about
they will use a provided handout to help keep the information that they look up organized
the students will use the computers to go online and find information to answer the questions on their handout about the dinosaur that they have picked
after the students have completed the handout, they will use the information on the handout to make a powerpoint presentation about their dinosaur
after they have transferred the information to powerpoint, they will add two or three pictures to their powerpoints
the students will present their powerpoints after they have completed them
Scaffolds: the teacher should provide a list of websites for the students to go to that will help them find the information that they need as a scaffold
Technology to Support Authentic Instruction: The students will be using the internet and they will be using powerpoint during this lesson
